AJI-NO-MOTO®, which literally means "the essence of taste" in Japanese, is a long-lived seasoning product now sold in more than 111 countries and which is very popular in Asia and on the American Continents.
Thanks to our advanced skills in amino acid technologies, we have diversified our activities from foods to fine chemicals and health care products. Today, the Ajinomoto Group is considered as a world leader in the amino-acid industry with 121 subsidiaries in 21 countries and 27,000 collaborators.
Our first European business started in France in 1954. Since then the European and African area has become a very important part of the group's international activities.
